The LloydsTSB car insurance service is very fast and efficient- it takes less than two minutes to get a quick quote, and not much longer if you have e.g. convictions or modifications to your car. The site is reliable and easy to use; so full marks for making online application easy.

The LloydsTSB service is also a brokerage, so they will hunt around for good deals from several other sources (including Churchill, Royal Sun Alliance etc.)

Cover is very average though- with personal effects and medical expenses cover, for example, limited to £100 each. There is apparently a 5% discount for applying online, but elsewhere the site says that a wider range of policies are available in LloydsTSB branches, so you might want to try both routes.
