Insurance broker Auto Direct Car Insurance has the usual exceptions, plus a few more: not only is insurance unavailable to Northern Ireland residents, but your car must not have been registered in the province either - and you must not have access to any other vehicles. All modifications are excluded too. If you still qualify, the quote form is simple enough and doesn't take too long to complete, but premiums are steep: our Corsa driver was quoted £578.89 without legal cover (but including no claims discount protection) while our 4x4 owner's cheapest price was £580.16, again with protection but without legal cover.
