Surprisingly for a "big five" bank, NatWest car insurance don’t offer an online quote for their car insurance services. However, there is a free call-back service on the site; so you might as well let them call you. Another caveat: there’s no sign of a policy document on the site, so you won’t know exactly what you’re signing up for until the documentation arrives (with E-Sure, for example, you can see exactly what benefits you’ll get before you sign up). In a rather strange twist, their courtesy car offer is ominously "subject to availability" - so don’t have a bump on Christmas day...

On the other hand, NatWest car insurance cover is quite generous. You can get a no-claims discount of up to 70% (60-65% is the norm) and there’s the unique offer of unlimited glass cover. Again though, no hint as to what excesses are applied. An installment scheme is on offer too, so you can opt for flexible payments.

Usually, big banks fail to offer the best deal, but there is a 10% discount for holders of NatWest home or travel insurance; and that might tip the balance in your favour.
