Windsor Life Assurance
An independent, direct life office offering long-term tax-efficient investments.
Website: Windsor Life Assurance
The Windsor Life Assurance offering means efficient tax breaks, low fees and a wide range of funds to invest your life policy into. However, as a direct life house, your financial adviser is unlikely to pass on any discounting benefits.
Windsor Life Assurance specialise in investment products (you won’t find term insurance here). They have a relatively wide range of funds (14 in all) into which you can put your money via a wide range of investment vehicles, most of which are designed to maximise tax efficiency.
The Windsor Life Assurance “Investment and Protection Plan” for example provides just enough life cover to attract a favourable tax environment, whilst the rest of your contributions go into their funds to create future value. The “Lifelong Protection Plan” is a full-blown life suite, based on the principle of flexible benefits (change your contributions, your cover range, or the list of benefits at pretty much any time).
On the downside, Windsor Life Assurance is pretty much a direct sales operation- they do not subscribe to a network of financial advisers; and therefore either you need to buy direct; or if you did take advice, it would probably be at your own expense.
