The quote process is painless if a little slow – although a glitch means that the site refused to recognise our urban couple's address and we therefore couldn't get a binding quote – and cover is good: our suburban family was quoted £207.12 for £400,000 of buildings cover, £60,000 of contents and office equipment cover worth £7,500.

Excesses are slightly higher than other insurers at a minimum £75, but More Than home insurance does offer a combination of low premiums and high cover that more than compensate for the slight difference in excess amounts.
