Life Insurance Information
Where to find honest and impartial advice before buying life insurance.
You can get life insurance information from plenty of places these days- begin your research online or in the newspapers; be sure to check out best rates tables in most of the Sunday papers, and then get advice specific to your requirements from an independent financial adviser.
You can get life insurance information from a variety of sources, but be aware that the quality of what you get will vary. By being here in the first place, you already know that you can pick plenty of information up online. Many life offices’ websites now offer complete quotations online, so you can compare policies easily. But that leaves the trawling up to you.
You should get some advice- not just to find the cheapest quote but to ensure that you receive life insurance information that matches your circumstances and needs. This is something of a minefield as plenty of people offer advice but not all are independent. Agents, for example, usually represent only one company- you’re best off talking to an independent financial adviser.
Also, whatever the documentation you receive, be sure that the product and company are regulated (usually this is done by the Financial Services Authority). There are plenty of products which are unregulated, and that means you don’t have any backup if things go wrong either at the time of a claim or in the event of the company disappearing.
You can also find excellent life insurance information in any of the newspapers (your regular Sunday paper is best) or specialist financial publications- look out particularly for comparisons created by services like MoneyFacts, which are eminently reliable.
