Private health care insurance
Private health firms don't just pay for NHS treatment.
Private health care insurance doesn't just cover you for NHS treatments: many health care firms have their own network of non-NHS hospitals with dedicated nursing staff, doctors and surgeons. Some insurers will also cover you for alternative therapies such as homeopathy and chiropractic treatment.
Private health care insurance doesn't just pay for speedier NHS treatment; it also pays for alternative therapies such as homeopathy, acupuncture, osteopathy and so on (although there is usually a limit to the amount of money an insurer will let you claim for such treatment). More importantly, many firms that offer private health care insurance have a network of non-NHS hospitals dotted throughout the country, with their own complement of professional nursing staff, doctors and surgeons.
