Abbey offline mortgage application launched

Abbey has launched new software aimed at making life easier for brokers.

The Abbey offline mortgage application form introduces greater flexibility to the mortgage application process, by allowing intermediaries to spend less time on the internet, thus reducing associated costs.

The software allows all data for an Agreement in Principle (AIP) and Full Mortgage Application (FMA) to be entered, whilst being offline.

Rick Okey, Abbey for Intermediaries director, mortgages and protection, said: "The Abbey software can be loaded onto a laptop or desktop computer and has the added advantage of mirroring the online version, so current users will be familiar with the functionality."

It is hoped the software will be especially useful for brokers who visit clients at home, or other places where the internet is unavailable.
