Travellers urged to buy travel insurance
Britons are being urged to take out travel insurance for going on holidays to ensure they are not hurt financially as well as physically while away. Robert O'May, travel insurance manager at Sainsbury's Bank, said: "Good cover is essential for those travelling abroad whether its for a short break, fortnights holiday or a longer trip, so that if problems do occur, the impact can hopefully be kept to a minimum, allowing you to continue to enjoy your holiday." However, other insurers are warning that those looking to take part in potentially dangerous activities such as scuba-diving or white water rafting need to ensure that they are covered sufficiently. Dirk Kelly, from Options Travel Insurance, said: "Increasingly people are getting caught out when they come to claim for injuries and cancellations because they did not check the extent of their insurance cover."
