Barclays student accounts updated

Barclays is warming up for the new university year by launching an improved graduate and student package.

The bank is offering benefits of more than £800 to new account holders, with both graduate and student packages seeing additions.

Barclays graduate customers are now able to obtain a £200 automatic interest and fee free overdraft on opening an account with Barclays, with a facility of up to £3,000 available in the first year.

New acccount holders will also receive comprehensive mobile phone insurance, worth £100, Green Flag roadside assistance, worth £65, Cardholder Protection, worth £20, access to Legal Helpline, worth £120, and discounts on restaurants, attractions and retail outlets, worth £52.
