Alliance & Leicester wins customer services award
Alliance & Leicester has won a customer services award in WhatInvestment magazine's 2005 Readership awards.
The group has been named Best Customer Service Provider for its high level of customer service and attention to the needs and preferences of its customers.
Alliance & Leicester believes the award reflects the fact it deals with its customers in a "friendly and approachable" manner.
It also believes the fact it keeps its call centres within the UK may be a factor.
"We constantly review our customer service processes to ensure that the customer experience is as quick and helpful as possible and we believe that our pledge to keep our call centres in the UK further emphasises our commitment to providing a first class service to our customers," commented Stephen Leonard, director of mortgages, savings and investment products.
The WhatInvestment magazine's Readership Awards are awarded to companies that the magazine's readers feel provide the best products and service levels in particular areas.
