Prudential to host insurance presentation

Investors and analysts will be attending a presentation by Prudential on its British life insurance business.

Mark Wood, chief executive of Prudential UK and Europe, together with senior members of his management team, will lead the presentation in the Lincoln Centre in London.
.
The investors and analysts will also be addressed by chief executive officer of Sesame Group Limited, Patrick Gale. He will explain more about the perspective of the IFA on the impact of depolarisation.

Prudential aims to provide an overview of its strategy, to summarise its operations and financial position, to provide an update on progress made in product development, distribution and customer services, and to answer questions about the performance and strategy of the company.

Sales have increased strongly in the first quarter as a result of strong demand for insurance in the UK.

The company saw an 11 per cent increase in sales across its businesses in Asia, the US and Britain over the first three months of the year, with the UK performing particularly well.

"All of our businesses are in good shape and are clearly continuing to deliver on the momentum we saw in the fourth quarter," Philip Broadley, Prudential's finance director, told the Guardian.
