Nationwide current account fee hike

Nationwide current account and credit card charges will be increased from 1st June.

The Flexaccount current account's unauthorised overdraft fee will rise from £15 to £20.

The unpaid fee increase will be from £28.50 to £30.

The late payment, exceeding limit and returned payment charges on Nationwide credit cards will all increase by £5 to £20.

The Nationwide is quick to point out though that its authorised overdraft interest rate remains the lowest on the market at 7.75 per cent.

A number of other services charged for by other banks are free with the Nationwide.
