NatWest Home Insurance warns partying Brits to protect homes
Britons are being warned that they could face paying out large sums of money this Christmas if their properties are not adequately insured.
A fifth of people said they do not have insurance on their property, leaving them open to be liable if a guest in their home has an accident, according to NatWest Home Insurance.
Bob Trinder, head of NatWest Insurance Services, said: "A good home insurance policy will protect you against any accidents that happen both to your belongings and to any guests in your home."
People that do not have home insurance could also lose their belongings in the event of fire or a burglary.
Furthermore, 44 per cent of people that rent a property said they had no insurance to protect their belongings.
NatWest Home Insurance is thus urging Brits to take out adequate insurance for the party season, to protect themselves from being out-of-pocket after the holidays.
