Winterthur Life Fixed Interest Fund celebrated

Winterthur Life UK is celebrating 21 years of steady performance by the Winterthur Life Fixed Interest Fund.

The head of fixed interest investments at Winterthur Life UK, David Pressey, started managing the award winning fund in 1980, when the company was still known as Provident Life.

Mr Pressey has been responsible for the management of the Winterthur Life Fixed Interest Fund for 21 years, since he helped to set up the fund in 1984.

"We have taken a low risk approach to investment and developed the fund based on the long-term outlook for interest rates and the bond market," Mr Pressey explains.

"At present nearly three-quarters of the fund is made up of AAA rated bonds," he says.

Winterthur Life Fixed Interest Fund is continuously offering a high level of security and low risk under Mr Pressey's "expert management", Winterthur Life UK's Bernard Hernshall comments.

In 2003, the Winterthur Life Fixed Interest Fund came out on top in Standard & Poor's Pension Fixed Interest Sector over a decade, after it won the five-year award in 1995.

The Winterthur Life Fixed Interest Fund is one of 80 funds in Winterthur Life's Tailored Selection fund range.
