Legal & General Portfolio Bond launched

Legal & General has launched a new Portfolio Bond, which has a simple charging structure, with a large range of funds that allow the customer to switch between funds and take income on a regular basis if required.

Portfolio Bond will provide independent financial advisers (IFAs) with a single premium life assurance wrapper, which gives clients the choice of more than 200 investment funds.

These funds are selected from across the industry from around 40 fund groups and have been chosen particularly in order to meet the risk profiles and investment aims of the majority of IFA customers.

"Legal & General's new Portfolio Bond is designed specifically to meet the investment needs of IFA clients," said Simon Pistell, retail investments director at Legal & General.

"It provides fund choice in all major sectors, across a range of investment management groups and includes the most popular choices identified in our research among the advisers who are experienced in the bond market."

The Portfolio Bond will be available from November 21st.
