UCB two-year self-cert mortgage rates increased

UCB Home Loans has announced it will soon be increasing interest rates on its self-cert two-year mortgages by 0.15 per cent.

This means the UCB two-year self-cert mortgage for purchases and remortgages is available at 5.14 per cent, equivalent to 6.7 per cent annual percentage rate (APR).

Furthermore, the UCB two-year self-cert mortgage for remortgages only is available at 5.24 per cent, equivalent to 6.7 per cent APR.

Keith Astill, managing director of UCB Home Loans, said the mortgages remain "competitive" and that the increase made to the mortgages was "relatively small".

All other buy-to-let and self-certification mortgages will keep their existing rates, reports Mortgage Introducer.
