Standard Life Ethical Corporate Bond Fund launched
The Standard Life Ethical Corporate Bond Fund has been launched for those retail investors looking for an ethical slant to their choices.
The fund has a low risk potential and the initial portfolio is made up of 49 holdings, ten of which have been rated as "acceptable" and 39 as "preferred" in relation to ethics.
Jacqueline Kerr, head of mutual funds at Standard Life Investments, said: "This fund will be welcomed by the market as a highly credible alternative to the very few ethical bond funds currently available to investors."
She continued by saying that the fund will use "structured bonds and AAA rated supranational bonds", all of which comply with the finance provider's ethical policy.
The Standard Life Ethical Corporate Bond Fund will be available to customers from November 2nd.
