Prudential lifetime mortgage to be launched

The Prudential lifetime mortgage product has been given a launch date of October 17th, and alongside will feature an online calculator.

And while further details are forthcoming for the mortgage, the online calculator has been designed to help advisers calculate the savings customers could make by using the Prudential lifetime mortgage.

Using the calculator advisers can compare loan amounts and interest rates. This can help in ensuring customers receive a better deal.

Jan Holt, head of sales for lifetime mortgages at Prudential, said: "The online calculator offers something really useful to advisers."

The plans for the online calculator come on the back of Prudential's property value release plan, which has been popular with advisers.
