Marks and Spencer's Car Insurance
Website: Marks and Spencer's
Marks and Spencer's car insurance offers lots of cover in its Premier guise, with European cover, legal protection, RAC breakdown cover, motor legal protection, a guaranteed hire car and key cover all included in the price. It's not the cheapest car insurance, however: even the no-frills Standard cover is fairly pricey
- RAC breakdown cover
- Motor legal protection
- Guaranteed hire car
- Key cover
- European travel cover
Marks and Spencer's car insurance comes in two flavours: standard, which offers essential cover without any fuss, and premier, which adds RAC breakdown cover, motor legal protection, guaranteed hire car for two weeks during repair work or after total loss and car key replacement cover. Both options include up to 90 days European travel cover and you get 1,000 M&S points if you order online. The breakdown cover is for you rather than your car, which is handy if you're planning a trip as a passenger.
It's not the cheapest cover, however. Marks and Spencer's car insurance cost our respectable suburban dad £497.98, while the Premier cover took that to £560.51. Although Premier is more expensive it's better value for money: that extra £60 gives you options that would cost £100 or more with other insurers.
