Barclaycard Travel Insurance offers single, multi-trip and extended stay travel insurance, and you can also obtain winter sports cover. The site promises 10% discount if you buy online but refused to load the quote page: we tried it on several different browsers without success.

You'd think a firm the size of Barclaycard Travel Insurance would test its Web site, but it seems not: it refused to work in Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Opera. As a result, we don't know whether the firm's quotes are competitive or not.

On the face of it, the site looks good: there are two levels of cover (Classic and Superior) and you can purchase cover for a single trip, multiple trips or an extended stay; winter sports cover is also available.

Of course, none of these things are any cop if the site doesn't work and after an unhappy hour of trying again and again to get a quote, we gave up. Barclaycard Travel Insurance might be the best and cheapest in the whole wide world, but if it wants to sell policies then it needs to give its site a good kicking.
